Bösendorfer is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious piano manufacturers, founded in Vienna, Austria, in 1828 by Ignaz Bösendorfer. Known for their unique 97-key pianos and handcrafted quality, the company has maintained its traditional Viennese manufacturing roots for nearly two centuries.

While the brand represents the pinnacle of Austrian craftsmanship, its ownership has transitioned over time. After the Bösendorfer family ownership ended, it was held by American company Kimball International for several decades. In 2008, the brand was acquired by Yamaha Corporation, a global leader in musical instrument production. Despite being part of the Japanese conglomerate, Bösendorfer production remains exclusively in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, ensuring its distinct sound and heritage are preserved.
