Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum

Diplomático is a premium rum brand originally founded in Venezuela in 1959. The distillery, Destilerías Unidas S.A. (DUSA), is located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in La Miel, where the proximity to sugar processing plants and pure water sources provides an ideal environment for rum production. The brand's signature Reserva Exclusiva is renowned for its complex, sweet profile and its iconic label featuring Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez.

In early 2023, the brand reached a major milestone when it was acquired by Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies. Despite this international ownership, the production remains deeply rooted in its Venezuelan heritage, utilizing the same traditional copper pot stills and aging methods that established its global reputation. This acquisition has allowed Diplomático to leverage a massive global distribution network while maintaining its status as a leading super-premium dark rum.
