Coop Camferine Intensive Hand & Foot Care

Camferine is a long-standing skincare brand with deep roots in Danish history. It was developed by FDB (Fællesforeningen for Danmarks Brugsforeninger) in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The product was notably improved by Peder Grønborg, the director of FDB's factories in Viby, Denmark, after he discovered a similar formulation in the Netherlands. Since its inception, the brand has been a staple in Danish households for treating dry and cracked skin.

Today, the brand is owned by Coop amba (formerly FDB), one of Denmark's largest retail cooperatives. The product is primarily manufactured in Denmark, maintaining its heritage as a local solution for harsh northern climates. Ownership of the brand is unique as it is effectively owned by the members of the cooperative, though daily operations and brand management are handled by the subsidiary Coop Danmark A/S.
