CeraVe is a globally recognized skincare brand founded in 2005. The brand was developed by dermatologists with a unique blend of three essential ceramides (ceramides 1, 3, and 6-II), fatty acids, and other lipids to help repair and strengthen the skin's natural barrier. A key technological hallmark of the brand is its MultiVesicular Emulsion (MVE) delivery system, which releases moisturizing ingredients over a 24-hour period.

Originally launched in the United States, CeraVe quickly gained a reputation for providing high-quality, clinical-grade skincare at an accessible price point. In 2017, the brand underwent a major shift in ownership when it was acquired by the L'Oréal Group, the world's largest cosmetics company. This acquisition allowed the brand to expand its distribution from North America to a global scale.

Today, CeraVe is managed under L'Oréal's Dermatological Beauty division. While its roots and primary manufacturing remain heavily centered in the United States to serve the North American market, L'Oréal also utilizes its extensive European manufacturing facilities, particularly in France, to supply international markets. The brand remains one of the fastest-growing skincare lines globally, maintained by its commitment to dermatological science and accessibility.
