Ray-Ban is an iconic brand of sunglasses and eyeglasses founded in 1936 by the American company Bausch & Lomb. Originally developed for U.S. military pilots to protect their eyes from high-altitude glare, it became a global fashion phenomenon with classic models like the Aviator and Wayfarer.

In 1999, Bausch & Lomb sold the brand to the Italian eyewear giant Luxottica Group. Today, Ray-Ban is the flagship brand of EssilorLuxottica, a French-Italian multinational corporation formed by the merger of Essilor and Luxottica in 2018. While the brand has American roots, its design and strategic operations are now centered in Italy.

Manufacturing takes place primarily in Italy, where the high-end collections are produced, but the company also maintains large-scale manufacturing facilities in China for specific product lines and components. The pouch shown in the image is a standard accessory used to protect Ray-Ban eyewear during transport and storage.
