O'boy is the most popular chocolate milk drink in the Nordic region. Originally launched in 1959 by the Marabou company in Sweden, it transformed how families enjoyed chocolate milk by introducing a powder that dissolved easily in both hot and cold milk. Throughout its history, it has been a staple in Swedish and Nordic households, maintaining a dominant market share in the instant cocoa category.

Today, O'boy is manufactured primarily in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, at the same facility that produces Marabou chocolate. This ensures that the brand maintains its traditional flavor profile while following strict European food standards. While the brand remains deeply Swedish in identity, it has been part of major international corporate portfolios for decades.

Ownership of O'boy transitioned from Marabou to Kraft General Foods in the early 1990s. Following corporate restructuring and the spin-off of Kraft Foods' global snacking business, the brand became part of Mondelēz International. Mondelēz is an American multinational food conglomerate that manages an extensive portfolio of snack and beverage brands worldwide. The brand is managed locally by Mondelēz Sverige.
