Cadbury Crunchie

Crunchie is a classic British chocolate bar consisting of a golden honeycomb (sponge toffee) center coated in milk chocolate. It was launched in 1929 by Fry & Sons, a company that later merged with Cadbury. Since its introduction, the bar has become one of the most popular chocolate treats in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Commonwealth nations such as Australia, Canada, and South Africa.

Manufacturing takes place in several locations globally to meet regional demand. Historically produced in the United Kingdom, significant production now occurs at the Cadbury facility in Chullora, Australia, and in Poland for the European market. Despite these shifts in manufacturing sites, the recipe remains iconic for its unique 'cinder toffee' texture.

Today, the Cadbury brand is owned by Mondelēz International, an American multinational confectionery, food, and beverage conglomerate. Mondelēz acquired the brand following its purchase of Cadbury PLC in 2010. The brand continues to be managed under the Mondelēz portfolio, maintaining its status as a staple of the global confectionery market.
