Abasto Shopping Center

Abasto Shopping is one of the most iconic retail locations in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The building was originally designed by architects Viktor Sulčič, Raúl Bes, and José Luis Delpini and served as the city's central fruit and vegetable wholesale market (Mercado de Abasto Proveedor) from 1934 until 1984.

Following years of abandonment, the Art Deco landmark was transformed into a modern shopping complex. It officially reopened in 1998 under the management of IRSA (Inversiones y Representaciones S.A.), a major Argentine real estate firm. Today, it stands as a cultural and commercial hub, housing hundreds of brands, cinemas, and the Museo de los Niños.
