Burmester 10 Year Old Tawny Porto is a premium fortified wine originating from the Douro Valley in Portugal. The brand has a rich history dating back to 1750, when it was founded by Henry Burmester and John Nash in London as a grain trading company before moving into the wine business in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The wine is produced and aged in the traditional manner in oak casks, which gives it its distinct tawny color and complex nut and fruit flavors. While the brand has historical British-German roots, it is today a quintessential Portuguese product, exclusively manufactured in Portugal to meet the strict Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) regulations for Port wine.

Since 2006, Burmester has been owned by the Sogevinus Fine Wines group. Sogevinus is a major player in the Port wine industry, managing several historic houses. This ownership ensures that the brand maintains its traditional production methods while benefiting from a global distribution network.
