Cerveza Victoria is a historic beer brand deeply rooted in the culture of Málaga, Spain. Founded on September 8th, 1928, by Luis Franquelo Carrasco, the brewery was inaugurated on the feast day of the Virgin of Victoria, the patron saint of the city. The brand's iconic logo featuring 'el titi' (the German tourist drying his forehead) represents the traditional image of the Málaga summer experience.
Today, the brand belongs to the Damm Group, one of Spain's leading beverage corporations. While the brand faced various ownership changes in the late 20th century, including a period under Heineken/Cruzcampo, it returned to Spanish ownership via Damm in 2001. In 2017, a modern brewery was opened directly in Málaga to ensure that production returned to its historical home, though distribution and corporate strategy are managed by the parent group in Barcelona.
