Amaro Segesta is a traditional Sicilian herbal liqueur, deeply rooted in the history of the Trapani region of Italy. It was created in the early 20th century, specifically around 1968, by Vito Giannone in Castellammare del Golfo. The brand takes its name from the ancient Greek archaeological site of Segesta, featuring an image of the famous temple on its label.

The production focuses on an infusion of over twenty medicinal herbs, adhering to a secret family recipe. While it started as a local artisanal product, its popularity grew as a digestive typical of Sicily. Today, it is produced by the company G.S. s.r.l. (formerly under the family-controlled distilleries), maintaining its heritage and manufacturing strictly in its Sicilian homeland. The brand remains under Italian ownership, preserving the authentic craftsmanship associated with Sicilian amaro production.
