Cloetta confectionery

Cloetta is a leading Northern European confectionery company with a heritage dating back to 1862. Founded by Swiss brothers Bernard, Christoffer, and Nutin Cloëtta in Copenhagen, Denmark, the company later established a significant presence in Sweden, which became its primary home. Over the decades, Cloetta has grown through various mergers and acquisitions, most notably with the Fazer confectionery division in 2000 (later demerged) and the merger with Leaf International in 2012.

As of 2026, Cloetta operates as an independent public company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Manufacturing is spread across several European locations, with its two largest production facilities situated in Ljungsbro, Sweden, and Levice, Slovakia. Other production sites are located in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland. The brand is renowned for iconic products such as Kexchoklad, Läkerol, and Polly, maintaining a strong market position in the Nordics, the Netherlands, and Italy.
