Golden Toast Bread

Golden Toast is Germany's most recognizable bread brand, synonymous with sliced toast bread. It was established in 1963 by an association of several large regional bakeries (the Golden Toast-Arbeitsgemeinschaft) who aimed to set a national quality standard for toast bread, which was then a relatively new product in the German market.

Today, the brand is owned and managed by the Lieken Group. Production is carried out in large-scale commercial bakeries across Germany to ensure freshness and rapid distribution. Since 2013, the brand and its parent company, Lieken, have been part of the international portfolio of the Czech-based conglomerate Agrofert, overseen by the billionaire and former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.
