Pinguin camping stove

Pinguin is one of the oldest and most established Czech brands of outdoor equipment, known for specializing in gear for trekking, camping, and mountaineering. The brand first emerged in 1989, shortly after the Velvet Revolution, initially focusing on sleeping bags and parkas before expanding into technical equipment like camping stoves and cookware.

While the brand maintains its design, development, and administrative headquarters in the Czech Republic, the manufacturing of its technical hardware, including these portable stoves, is largely outsourced to specialized facilities in Asia (primarily China) to maintain competitive pricing. However, the quality control and overall brand direction remain strictly European.

Today, Pinguin remains under the ownership of its founding Czech entity, Pinguin Outdoor Equipment (a trade name for the company Activent 355 s.r.o.). It has successfully transitioned from a local manufacturer to an international outdoor brand with distribution networks across Europe and beyond.
