Château de la Bottière is a traditional wine estate located in the Juliénas appellation of the Beaujolais region in France. The estate is known for producing high-quality red wines primarily from the Gamay grape variety, grown on ancient vines aged up to sixty years. This specific 2023 vintage is produced on stony soil composed of blue rock (diorite) and granite, which imparts a unique minerality and intensity to the wine.

The wine is produced and bottled at the estate, maintaining the status of 'Vigneron Indépendant' (Independent Winegrower), which signifies that the grower handles every stage from the vineyard to the bottle. Since 2019, the production has been certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), reflecting a commitment to environmentally respectful agricultural practices. The brand is owned by the Loron family (Maison Jean Loron), a historic Burgundian wine merchant and producer house established in the 18th century.
