Sumol is a legendary Portuguese brand that pioneered the carbonated fruit juice category. It was created in 1954 at the Entrecampos factory in Lisbon, following the development of a unique formula that combined orange juice with carbonation, a significant innovation at the time.

Today, the brand is manufactured primarily in Portugal at the modern facilities of Sumol+Compal in Almeirim and Pombal. While it has a massive presence in Portugal, it is also exported to over 60 countries across the globe, maintaining its status as a symbol of Portuguese refreshment.

Since 2009, the brand has been under the ownership of Sumol+Compal S.A., which resulted from the merger of Sumol Gestão e Investimentos and Compal. The company remains headquartered in Carnaxide, Portugal, and continues to be the leading fruit juice and beverage corporation in the Portuguese market.
