Hackett London is a renowned British multi-channel retailer of men's clothing and accessories, particularly known for its formal wear and traditional British styling. Founded in 1983 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings on London's Portobello Road, the brand initially specialized in high-quality secondhand traditional British men's clothing before transitioning into designing and manufacturing its own pieces.
Today, Hackett is a global brand with a presence in many luxury shopping districts. While the brand maintains its 'British' identity in design and marketing, its manufacturing is distributed internationally across various regions including Europe and Asia to maintain large-scale production requirements.
Ownership of the brand has shifted over the decades. Since 2015, Hackett London has been part of the Pepe Jeans Group (now known as AWWG - All We Wear Group). This conglomerate is controlled by the Lebanese investment group M1 Group and L Catterton. Despite its Spanish-headquartered corporate ownership, the brand remains deeply rooted in London's Savile Row heritage.
