Ybarra is one of Spain's most historic and prestigious food brands, founded in 1842 by Jose María de Ybarra. The brand first gained international fame for its high-quality extra virgin olive oils, winning a Gold Medal at the Universal Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876. Over the centuries, it has expanded its portfolio to include vinegars, mayonnaises, and a wide variety of cold sauces, becoming a household name in Spain and exporting to over 80 countries.
The manufacturing process remains deeply rooted in the Andalusian region of Spain, specifically in Seville. In 2009, the brand entered a significant strategic phase by forming a joint venture with Migasa (Grupo Aceites Toledo), another major player in the Spanish oil sector. This partnership led to the creation of 'Grupo Ybarra Alimentación,' which modernizes production while maintaining traditional quality standards. The brand continues to operate out of state-of-the-art facilities in Dos Hermanas, Seville, ensuring that the essence of Spanish Mediterranean flavor is preserved in every bottle.
