Den Gamle Fabrik Orange Marmalade

Den Gamle Fabrik (The Old Factory) is a prestigious Danish brand founded in 1834 by J.L. Andersen. It is renowned for its traditional approach to fruit spreads, utilizing open kettles and maintaining fruit texture to preserve authentic flavors. The brand started in the cellar of a building on Vesterbrogade in Copenhagen and has since become a staple of Danish breakfast tables.

Today, the brand is owned by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla, following their acquisition of the brand's previous parent company, Rieber & Søn, in 2013. Despite the international ownership, the brand maintains its distinct Danish heritage and manufacturing presence in Denmark, serving both the domestic market and international exports.
