Hemelinger Spezial is a traditional German beer brand with a long history rooted in the Hemelingen district of Bremen. Originally brewed by the Hemelinger Actien Brewery, which was founded in 1878, the brand has become a cult favorite in the northern German region.

Today, the brand is part of the portfolio of the Getränke Hoffmann group through its subsidiary, the Hofbrauhaus Wolters based in Braunschweig. While it maintains its Bremish identity and local 'cult' status, the production is primarily carried out at the Braunschweig facility. The ultimate ownership lies with the Dirk Rossmann GmbH family office/holding structures, as Getränke Hoffmann is a major retail and distribution entity under their umbrella.
