Taffel Havsalt potato chips

Originally launched in Denmark in 1959 by De Danske Spritfabrikker in Roskilde, it became a pioneer in the Danish potato chip market. The brand is famous for its 'Smager af fredag' (Tastes like Friday) slogan and its distinctive red logo.

Today, the brand is owned by the Norwegian Orkla Group, which acquired the snack division to strengthen its position in the Nordic food market. For the Danish market, Taffel chips are primarily produced at the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks factory in Søndersø on Funen, Denmark. This local production ensures that the chips meet the traditional Danish taste profiles while remaining part of a large international conglomerate's portfolio.
