Pringles originated in the United States in the late 1960s, created by the company Procter & Gamble. The brand became famous for its unique hyperbolic paraboloid shape and its stackable cans, designed to prevent breakage. For decades, it remained a core part of P&G's food portfolio.
In 2012, the Kellogg Company (now split into Kellanova and WK Kellogg Co) acquired Pringles, making it a cornerstone of their global snacking division. Today, Pringles are manufactured in various locations worldwide to meet global demand, including major facilities in the United States, Belgium, Malaysia, Poland, and China. Ownership currently resides with Kellanova, following the corporate restructuring of Kellogg's global snacking business.
