3 Glocken is one of Germany's most venerable pasta brands, with roots stretching back to 1867 when Gustav-Adolf Hammer founded a small pasta workshop in Weinheim. The brand name, which translates to '3 Bells', refers to the bells of the local church in Weinheim. Historically, the brand became synonymous with high-quality egg pasta, particularly its Genuss Pur and Die Mag ich ranges.
Over the decades, the company transformed from a local craft business into a major industrial player. Following various corporate restructuring phases in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the brand was integrated into Newlat GmbH. Today, 3 Glocken remains firmly rooted in Germany, with the majority of its manufacturing and production facilities located within the country, maintaining the traditional recipes that have made it a household staple for generations of German families.
The current owner, Newlat Food S.p.A., is an Italian multinational operating in the food sector. Despite its Italian ownership, the brand's identity and production focus remain focused on the German market, blending traditional German pasta styles with the industrial scale of a large European food conglomerate.
