Absolut Extrakt

Absolut Extrakt is a premium spirit that blends traditional Swedish vodka with the bold, spicy flavors of green cardamom and other secret botanical ingredients. It was designed to pay homage to the Swedish tradition of infusing alcohol with herbs and spices, commonly known as 'snaps.' Unlike traditional vodka, it has a lower alcohol content and a flavor profile specifically crafted for chilled shots.

The entire production process for Absolut Extrakt takes place in and around the small village of Åhus in southern Sweden. This 'One Source' philosophy ensure that every drop of water comes from local deep wells and every grain of winter wheat is sourced from the surrounding Skåne region. The brand maintains a high standard of sustainability and quality control by centralizing its distillation, bottling, and flavoring processes in its original homeland.

While the brand is a Swedish national icon, it is currently owned by the French spirits conglomerate Pernod Ricard. The acquisition occurred in 2008 when the Swedish government sold the state-owned V&S Group. Today, Absolut remains one of the largest spirit brands globally, managed under The Absolut Group within Pernod Ricard's extensive international portfolio.
