Applaws is a premium pet food brand known for using limited, high-quality ingredients. It was founded in the United Kingdom in 2006 with a focus on high meat content and grain-free recipes. The brand initially gained popularity in the UK and European markets before expanding globally.

While the brand originated in the UK, its manufacturing is distributed globally to ensure quality and logistical efficiency. A significant portion of its wet food ranges is produced in Thailand due to the availability of human-grade fish and poultry sources, while some dry food varieties are manufactured in Europe and the UK.

In terms of ownership, Applaws was originally created by Making Pet Food Matters (MPM). In 2020, MPM was acquired by 3i Group, a British multinational private equity and venture capital company. This partnership has allowed Applaws to strengthen its international distribution as a leader in natural pet nutrition.
