Diplomático is a premium rum brand originating from Venezuela, specifically produced at the Destilerías Unidas S.A. (DUSA) distillery located at the foot of the Andes Mountains. The brand is famous for its Reserva Exclusiva, which features the portrait of Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez, a local nobleman who was passionate about exploring the flavors of traditional beverages.

The production occurs primarily in the Terepaima National Park region, where the distillery uses various distillation methods including copper pot stills and column stills. In early 2023, Brown-Forman Corporation, a major American spirits company, completed the acquisition of the Diplomático brand from Destilerías Unidas S.A., though the production remains rooted in its Venezuelan heritage to maintain its Protected Designation of Origin (DOC) status.
