Winston tobacco

Winston is one of the world's most recognizable cigarette and tobacco brands. It was originally introduced in 1954 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in the United States, named after Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where the company was headquartered. For decades, it was a flagship American brand known for its filter-tipped cigarettes and high-quality tobacco blends.

Following a series of corporate restructurings in the late 1990s, the international rights to the Winston brand (outside the United States) were sold to Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT). Today, the brand is managed by Japan Tobacco International (JTI). While it remains an American brand by heritage, its global distribution and manufacturing are handled by the Japanese conglomerate. In European markets like the Czech Republic (as indicated by the packaging text), the product is usually manufactured in regional facilities across Europe to serve local demand.
