Duyvis is one of the most iconic Dutch snack brands, with a history dating back to 1806 when Teun Duyvis founded an oil mill in the Zaan region. Originally focused on cattle feed and oil production, the company eventually shifted toward the consumer market, becoming famous for its wide variety of peanuts, cocktail nuts, and dipping sauces. The brand revolutionized the Dutch snack market in the 20th century with its high-quality roasting techniques and memorable advertising campaigns.

In 2006, Duyvis celebrated its 200th anniversary, coinciding with its acquisition by the American multinational PepsiCo.
