7Up is a world-renowned brand of lemon-lime flavored non-caffeinated soft drinks. The brand was originally created by Charles Leiper Grigg, who launched it in 1929 through his company, The Howdy Corporation. Today, the brand represents a unique case of split ownership in the global beverage industry.
In the United States, 7Up is owned and manufactured by Keurig Dr Pepper. However, for all international markets outside of the U.S. (including Spain, where this picture was taken), the brand is owned and distributed by PepsiCo. Manufacturing typically occurs in regional bottling plants within the country of sale to ensure freshness and reduce logistics costs. In Spain, this is managed through PepsiCo's local bottling operations and distribution networks.
