Wilkinson Sword is a historic British brand established in 1772 by Henry Nock in London. Originally a manufacturer of firearms and swords, the company transitioned into the personal care market in the late 19th century with the introduction of safety razors. Over the centuries, its ownership has shifted through various conglomerates including Swedish Match, Warner-Lambert, and Pfizer.

In 2003, the brand was acquired by Energizer Holdings, which eventually spun off its personal care division in 2015 to form Edgewell Personal Care. Today, Edgewell owns the brand globally, though it operates under the Schick name in North America, Australia, and Asia, while maintaining the Wilkinson Sword name in Europe. Most modern razor manufacturing is concentrated in Solingen, Germany, and the Czech Republic, though some localized production for certain markets exists in India via licensing with Gillette.
