Coronita Extra beer

Coronita is the 210ml smaller bottle format of the internationally famous Corona Extra beer. The brand originated in Mexico in 1925, created by Cervecería Modelo. It is famously associated with its distinctive clear glass bottle and the ritual of serving it with a lime wedge. The name 'Coronita' is primarily used in Spain, where the name 'Corona' was historically trademarked by a wine brand (Bodegas Barceló), although the brand has recently begun transitioning to the standard 'Corona' name in the Spanish market.

While the brand has deep Mexican roots and continues to be brewed and bottled in Mexico for export, its ownership is global. Since 2013, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world's largest brewing company headquartered in Belgium, has been the ultimate owner after acquiring Grupo Modelo. In the United States, however, the brand is distributed and marketed by Constellation Brands due to antitrust regulations.
