Bavaria Beer

Bavaria is a historic Dutch brewery brand that was officially established in 1719 in Lieshout, North Brabant, by the Swinkels family. Despite the name 'Bavaria,' which was adopted in 1925 to reference the Bavarian brewing method, the brand is thoroughly Dutch in its heritage. For centuries, the brewery has remained a family-run enterprise, passing through seven generations of the Swinkels family.

Today, the brand is manufactured primarily at its original site in Lieshout, which is known for its own natural mineral water spring and malting facilities. However, as a global brand, Bavaria is also brewed under license in several other countries to serve international markets. The brand is now the flagship of the Swinkels Family Brewers group (formerly known as Bavaria N.V.), which remains one of the largest independent family-owned brewery groups in Europe.
