Premier Is Underground Cocoa ice cream

Underground is a premium ice cream brand originally established in 1977 in Aarhus, Denmark. It was founded by local entrepreneurs with a vision of creating high-quality, craft-style ice cream that stood out from mass-produced alternatives. Today, it is part of the Premier Is portfolio, one of Denmark's oldest and most well-known ice cream manufacturers with production facilities in Thisted, Denmark.

The brand is currently owned by Food Union, an international dairy and ice cream group which acquired Mejerigaarden (the parent company of Premier Is) in 2015. Food Union itself is backed by investment entities, including PAG. Despite its international ownership, the product maintains its Danish heritage, using local manufacturing processes and adhering to the brand's original commitment to flavor and quality, specifically catering to health-conscious consumers with its 'No Added Sugar' line.
