Madrí Excepcional is a premium lager marketed as having the 'Soul of Madrid' (El Alma de Madrid). Despite its strong Spanish branding and identity, the product was actually developed as a collaboration between La Sagra Brewery based in Spain and the multinational brewing giant Molson Coors.

Since its launch in 2020, the beer has seen explosive growth, particularly in the United Kingdom. While it was inspired by the craft brewing styles of Madrid, the majority of the Madrí Excepcional consumed in the UK is brewed at Molson Coors' facilities in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. This unique partnership allows the brand to maintain its authentic Spanish image while utilizing the massive distribution and production network of one of the world's largest brewers.
