Inca Kola soft drink

Inca Kola, often referred to as 'The Golden Kola,' is a popular carbonated soft drink that originated in Lima, Peru. Created by Joseph Robinson Lindley, a British immigrant, in 1935, the beverage is famous for its sweet, fruity flavor—often compared to bubblegum—and its vibrant yellow-gold color. It has become a cultural icon in Peru, often outselling major global brands at the local level.

In 1999, The Coca-Cola Company entered into a strategic partnership with Corporación Lindley, acquiring a 50% stake in the Inca Kola brand and taking over its international marketing and production outside of Peru. Today, while it remains deeply rooted in Peruvian identity and is primarily manufactured there, it is produced in various countries worldwide to serve the global Diaspora and enthusiasts of its unique flavor profile.
