Sanex is a well-known personal care brand originally founded in Spain in 1984 under the company Cruz Verde. It was specifically developed as the first soap-free bath and shower range for the mass market, focusing on skin health and pH balance.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through several major corporations. It was acquired by Sara Lee and subsequently sold to Unilever in 2011. However, due to European Commission competition concerns, Unilever was required to divest the brand, leading to its acquisition by the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive. Today, Sanex products are widely manufactured across the European Union, with a significant production facility located in Świdnica, Poland, to serve the European market. The brand continues to focus on dermatological health and microbiome protection.
