Nocilla is an iconic Spanish brand of hazelnut and chocolate spread that has been a staple of Spanish breakfasts and snacks since its launch in 1968. Originally created by the Starlux Group in Barcelona, it was inspired by the popularity of Italian cocoa creams but reformulated specifically to suit the Spanish palate. Over the decades, it became a cultural phenomenon in Spain, largely due to its memorable advertising campaigns and the reuse of its glass packaging.

Today, Nocilla is owned by Idilia Foods, a prominent Spanish food group. The brand transition occurred through several major acquisitions: after Starlux was sold to Unilever in 1997, it was later acquired by Nutrexpa in 2002. In 2015, Nutrexpa split into two entities, with Nocilla becoming a flagship brand of the newly formed Idilia Foods. The product is primarily manufactured at the company's specialized facility in Parets del Vallès, near Barcelona, and remains one of the most recognizable and market-leading products in the Iberian confectionery sector.
