Hakle is a renowned German brand specializing in hygiene products, particularly toilet tissue, kitchen towels, and moist toilet tissues. Established in 1928 by Hans Klenk in Ludwigsburg, Germany, Hakle was among the pioneers in introducing toilet paper rolls to the German market. The brand's name is derived from the initials of its founder, 'Ha' from Hans and 'Kle' from Klenk. Over the decades, Hakle has been committed to producing high-quality, resource-efficient products made from biodegradable, recyclable, and renewable materials, ensuring comfort without compromising environmental responsibility. In May 2023, the Italian paper manufacturer Sofidel finalized the acquisition of the Hakle brand, along with other brands like Hakle Feucht, Dick&Durstig, and Servus. This strategic move allowed Sofidel to strengthen its presence in the German market for toilet tissue and kitchen towels and enter the moist toilet tissue segment. Prior to this acquisition, Hakle GmbH operated as an independent entity, manufacturing its products at the Düsseldorf-Reisholz facility. The brand's dedication to sustainability is evident in its efforts to reduce plastic usage, lower CO2 emissions, and conserve water, aligning with Sofidel's mission to improve hygiene, health, and well-being while minimizing environmental impact.
