Pastas Gallo is a renowned Spanish brand specializing in the production of dry and fresh pasta, flours, and sauces. Founded in 1946 by José Espona in Rubí, Barcelona, the company pioneered the use of durum wheat in Spain, significantly influencing local agriculture by encouraging farmers to cultivate this variety. Over the decades, Pastas Gallo expanded its product range to include gluten-free pasta and ready-to-eat meals, solidifying its position as a market leader. The company operates multiple production facilities across Spain, including plants in El Carpio (Córdoba), Granollers (Barcelona), and Esparreguera (Barcelona). In 2019, Pastas Gallo was acquired by the private equity firm ProA Capital, which later sold a majority stake to Flexstone Partners in 2020. Despite these ownership changes, Pastas Gallo continues to uphold its commitment to quality and innovation in the pasta industry.
