Nanoblock is a line of micro-sized building blocks introduced in Japan in 2008 by Kawada Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based toy company. These blocks are notably smaller than traditional building blocks, with the smallest measuring 4 mm × 4 mm × 5 mm, allowing for intricate and detailed constructions. The product line has expanded to include various series, such as "Mini Collection," "Sights to See," and "Advanced Hobby," featuring designs ranging from animals and musical instruments to world landmarks and architectural structures. Nanoblock has gained international popularity, with distribution in over 31 countries by 2012. In the United States, distribution was managed by The Ohio Art Company starting in 2011, and later by Bluefin Brands from 2021. The brand has also collaborated with various licenses, including Pokémon, Sanrio characters, and Disney, to create themed sets.
