Zewa Softis Soft & Sensitive Facial Tissues are a premium product designed for gentle care of sensitive skin. The Zewa brand originated from the Zellstoffabrik Waldhof in Mannheim, Germany, where the range is still produced by SCA. The brand name 'Zewa' is derived from the initial manufacturer's name, 'Zellstoffabrik Waldhof.' Over the years, Zewa has introduced various product lines, including Zewa Lind in 1966, Zewa Lind decor in 1973, Zewa Soft in 1988, and Zewa Sensitive in 2005. (pulpapernews.com) In 2007, SCA sold the Softis brand, along with associated patents and production machines, to the Italian tissue company Sofidel. The sale included a license to use the Zewa brand for a period of three years, and SCA retained a perpetual license to continue selling Softis in countries outside Germany and Austria. (sca.com) As of 2026, Sofidel, headquartered in Italy, is the ultimate owner of the Softis brand, while SCA continues to own and operate the Zewa brand.
