Since 2005, the Movado Group has been responsible for the design, distribution, and manufacturing of HUGO BOSS watches.

Although the movements within these watches are often sourced from specialist Japanese or Swiss makers, the final assembly typically occurs in China to balance quality with industrial scale. The brand remains under the ultimate control of Hugo Boss AG, which is headquartered in Germany, but the watch line specifically is a collaborative effort with the US-based Movado Group to manage the technical aspects of watchmaking.
