Fontaneda galletas

Fontaneda is a historic Spanish biscuit brand founded in 1881 by Eugenio Fontaneda in Aguilar de Campoo, Palencia. The company gained prominence with its 'María Fontaneda' biscuits, becoming a market leader. In 1996, Nabisco acquired the brand, and in 2002, under United Biscuits, the original factory in Aguilar de Campoo closed, continuing production in other Spanish facilities. The former factory was later acquired by Grupo Siro, which revitalized operations in the town, known as 'the biscuit town.' Since 2006, Fontaneda has been marketed by Mondelēz International, the current owner, which continues to produce Fontaneda biscuits in Spain.
