Rab insulated jackets

Rab is a British manufacturer specializing in clothing and equipment for climbing and mountaineering. Founded in 1981 by Scottish climber Rab Carrington, the company began by hand-stitching sleeping bags in the attic of his Sheffield home. As demand grew, production expanded to a local factory, focusing on lightweight, durable, and high-quality products. In 2007, Carrington retired, and the company was acquired by Equip Outdoor Technologies, which also owns the Lowe Alpine brand. Despite media speculation about a potential sale, Equip Outdoor Technologies confirmed in December 2023 that no change in ownership is planned for Rab. The company continues to innovate, offering products like insulated jackets, sleeping bags, and expedition wear designed for cold weather, utilizing European goose and duck down certified to the Responsible Down Standard.
