Jaeger clothing

Jaeger is a British fashion brand established in 1884 by Lewis Tomalin, who was inspired by the health benefits of wearing woolen garments as advocated by Dr. Gustav Jaeger. Initially, the company imported clothing from Germany, but by 1889, it began manufacturing its own products in Britain. Over the decades, Jaeger evolved from producing woolen undergarments to offering a wide range of women's and men's clothing, including suits, dresses, and accessories. The brand became synonymous with high-quality natural fibers and classic British style. In 2011, Jaeger was acquired by the private equity firm Better Capital. However, in 2017, the company faced financial difficulties and entered administration. In January 2021, Marks & Spencer, a leading British retailer, acquired the Jaeger brand, marking a new chapter in its storied history.
