Oral-B is a globally recognized leader in oral hygiene, originally founded in the United States in 1950 by Dr. Robert W. Hutson, who patented the first Oral-B toothbrush. The brand quickly became a household name focused on dental health innovation.
The Oral-B Pro-Expert Mouthwash shown is part of a professional-grade line designed to provide 24-hour protection against plaque and bacteria. Although the brand was born in America, its manufacturing network is extensive. For the European market, a significant portion of Oral-B liquid products and toothbrushes are manufactured in Germany, specifically at the Marktheidenfeld plant, though global distribution may involve facilities in other regions.
Today, Oral-B is owned by the American multinational consumer goods corporation Procter & Gamble (P&G). After P&G acquired Gillette in 2005 (which had previously acquired Oral-B), the brand was integrated into P&G's global healthcare portfolio. It remains a flagship brand alongside Crest, often sharing technology and marketing resources as part of P&G's long-term strategy in the personal care sector.
