Aperol apritif

Aperol is an Italian ap�ritif with a distinctive orange hue and a unique bittersweet flavor. Created in 1919 by brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri in Padua, Italy, Aperol was initially produced by their company, Fratelli Barbieri. The brothers aimed to craft a light ap�ritif with an alcohol content of only 11%, setting it apart from other spirits of the time. The recipe combines a secret blend of herbs and roots, including gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona, resulting in a refreshing and versatile drink. After World War II, Aperol gained popularity across Italy, especially in Padua and Venice, becoming a staple in social gatherings. In 2003, the Campari Group acquired Aperol, integrating it into their portfolio of renowned brands. Today, Aperol is produced primarily in Italy, with some production in other locations, ensuring the maintenance of its traditional taste and quality.
