Alpro Sojadrink is a plant-based beverage produced by Alpro, a Belgian company founded in 1980 by the Vandemoortele Group. The company specializes in non-genetically modified, plant-based products made from soy, almonds, hazelnuts, cashew, rice, oats, and coconut. Alpro's products are manufactured in multiple countries, including Belgium, France, and the United Kingdom. In 2009, Alpro was acquired by the American company Dean Foods for approximately $455 million. In 2013, Dean Foods spun off WhiteWave Foods, which managed Alpro, as an independent company. In July 2016, the French company Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods for $10.4 billion, completing the acquisition in April 2017. As a result, Alpro became part of Danone, a French multinational food-products corporation. Alpro's products are available in over 25 countries worldwide.
