ColaCao is one of Spain's most iconic brands, deeply rooted in the country's breakfast culture since its creation in 1945. It is a soluble cocoa powder known for its unique texture that does not fully dissolve, creating small, flavorful lumps that have become a trademark of the 'Original' variety.

The brand was launched by the company Nutrexpa in Barcelona and quickly became a household name. Today, ColaCao is manufactured primarily in Spain, specifically at the Idilia Foods facility in Parets del Vallès. Following a corporate split of Nutrexpa in 2015, the brand transitioned to Idilia Foods, which remains its ultimate owner and operator. The brand continues to hold a dominant position in the Spanish market and has expanded to several international markets, maintaining its classic recipe and distinctive yellow packaging.
