CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser

CeraVe was founded in 2005 in the United States by Tom Allison and a team of dermatologists who wanted to develop a line of skincare products focused on repairing and strengthening the skin's natural barrier. The brand's signature innovation is the use of three essential ceramides combined with a Multivesicular Emulsion (MVE) delivery system. In 2017, the global beauty giant L'Oréal acquired CeraVe along with brands Acme and Valeant, integrating it into its Active Cosmetics Division.

While originally an American brand, CeraVe is now produced in multiple facilities around the world, including manufacturing sites in France and the United States, to satisfy its massive global demand. Under L'Oréal's ownership, the brand has expanded from North America to dozens of international markets, becoming one of the most dermatologist-recommended mass-market skincare brands globally.
